big walleye are in the ottawa

got to a new spot neither of us have ever fished set up the portable in 17 feet of water and drilled holes everywhere to find different depths and we started off there around 230
after a bit and only catching 2 dinks we moved into shallower water at about 430 thats when the action heated up got a ton of smaller fish a couple keepers then mickey sets the hook on this HOG

and if thats not good enought 5 minutes later i hear the neightbors screaming they have a monster on

up pops this 8 pounder

long time no report haha
i will be posting alot more now that the ice has hit good
kinda put this the blog aside during the summer because of the great fishing i had
boated my pb walleye my first musky and a ton of smaller walleye this season
so heres my little outing from last night,

we got the big shack out last weekend and its in a horrible spot so last night I figured I would try a new spot for the eyes
we only fished for about a hour and a half but for 4 eyes in that period of time
not to bad for me atall
they were all hitting of jigs like rapalas, lindy darters and hair jigs
they werent interested in the spoons atall
we only got one keeper around 15 inches the rest were about 12 so they whent back




i will be out again tomorow night with my mom hopeing on getting here on here first walleye through the ice in over 15 years

seasons just starting and im iceing alot of fish.... it should be a good season
